Abstract

The black and white photographs were taken by William Foshag of Paricutín Volcano, June 12 - July 31, 1943. They include image numbers F98A - F106A. On the reverse side, some include the image number, date, and sometimes a description or indication of vantage point. Subject matter includes a lava flow from March, 1943; a cross with the volcano in the background; structures buried in lava flow; local inhabitants and unidentified individuals in the terrain of lava flows; examples of woods damaged by eruptions; emanating plumes of smoke; and the cone. Includes duplicates.
