Abstract

This field book consists of the field notes and list of plants collected by Stanwyn Shetler in Black River area (Alaska?) in 1957 as part of the A.F. Project. Collection list includes collector numbers 308-609. List entries include collector number, scientific name, day, and month. Some entries list collector initials "L+R" and "L+S". Also included in the field book are: information on Intercept Studies in Black River Region; miscellaneous information describing how the studies were conducted; plot descriptions (including "dominant species", "subdominants", vegetation type, "successional status", and other information); and general notes. Entries are long and narrative, and include some small diagrams of plots (with measurements). Collections were made north of Black River, Camp Pond, and possibly other areas.
