Abstract

The black-and-white photographs document collecting in Morocco as part of the Smithsonian Institution African Mammal Project, November 1969 - May 1970. On the reverse side of photographs are captions covering a combination of location (sometimes distance from town), subject matter, and date. Often there is a list of scientific names of mammals. Subject matter includes various examples of habitat, dirt roads, valleys, arid plains, detail images of vegetation. Locations include Essaouira, Kénitra, Imlil, Goulimine [Guelmim], and Tan-Tan, Morocco.
