Abstract

The black and white photographs were taken by William Foshag of Paricutin Volcano, June 12 - 19, 1943. They include image numbers F51 - F71. On the reverse side is the date and sometimes description or indication of location of the photograph. Subject matter includes daytime and nighttime images of the volcano erupting; plumes of smoke; examples of emitted debris (bombs); local inhabitants observing a lava flow; volcano with structures in the foreground; and examples of woods damaged by volcano. Includes duplicates.
