Abstract

This field book was kept by Stanwyn Shetler in 1963. It documents Shetler's survey of the Baird and Schwatka Mountains (Alaska) and includes observations of vegetation. Entries are chronological and include: camp number/location, geographical coordinates, dates, altitude, weather, notes on plants observed (including scientific name, locality, abundance), vegetation types, diary notes, and "noteworthy plants". Localities include: Omelaktavik Lake, Katmai, Ukak River, Noatak River, Walker Lake, and Redstone Camp.
