Abstract

This folder contains 14 black-and-white photographs taken on the Pele Expedition, 1967. The images were probably taken around the Hawaiian islands, where previous Pele Expeditions took place. The photographs depict: man in snorkeling gear collecting mollusks on the ocean floor; docked vessel; several men and one woman sifting specimen collections on a boat; men on a raft; bringing specimens on board boat. No individuals or locations are identified. Photographs are undated but folder is dated 1967. Several of the photographs are duplicates. Also included in the folder are 11 black-and-white negatives.
