Abstract

The field catalog and notes document the mammal collecting of P. F. Ryan in Viet Nam, 1965 -1966. Catalog entries cover location (combination of geological landmark, distance from, region, nation), date, specimen number (82 - 320), sex, type (scientific name), altitude, 4 measurements, weight, characteristics of anatomy including measurements of sexual organs and presence of embryos. Field notes (journal) are dated and cover travel details, collecting methods, vegetation, specimens collected, selection of collecting sites (relating to disease out breaks like Plague). Appears to be collecting completed relating to disease outbreaks near American military locations. There are lists of specimens collected, followed by catalog (note states it was transcribed from the original). It lists number, type, measurements, and location. there are also species notes on Liolepis. Locations include but not limited to Da Nang, Sontra Mountain [Sơn Trà].
