Abstract

This item consists of the field notes of David W. Johnston, created during his work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey in 1964. The notes document Johnston's observations of birds in and near Hawaii. Several hand drawn illustrations of birds (Great Frigate-bird, White-tailed Tropicbird) and bird feathers can be found in field note entries. A map showing concentration of Sooties can also be found.
