Abstract

Original logbook of the Albatross, dredge numbers 3988-4004, hydro numbers 4431-4463, 11 to 17 June 1902. Data recorded include survey and dredge number (no.), date, machine, turns, correction, depth, shot or lead, bottom, bottom temperature, number of thermometer, correction, corrected temperature, air temperature, surface temperature, drift, trawl or dredge, sounding wire readings, dredge rope readings, serial temperatures, and general remarks. Remarks include lists of names and quantities of marine life caught. Localities include off the coast of Hanamaulu (Ahukini) warehouse [on Kauai], Mokuaeae island, Ukula pt., and Kapuai pt.
