Abstract

The journal documents the mammal collecting of C. O. Handley in Panama and Venezuela, March 15 - April 14, 1960. Entries are dated and headed with location. Makes note that collector traveled with Daniel I. Rhymer. They cover travel details, terrain (including elevation), work with colleagues, vegetation, specimens collected (sometimes as lists with scientific names and quantities, including live catches), habitats (sometimes defined by elevation), and collecting method (type, quantity, location). There is a table of information listing specimen types, listing preparation and site. Locations include Biological stations. Sites include but are not limited to Rancho Grande and Caracas [Distrito Federal], Venezuela.
