PrintThe field notes document the work of R. G. Tuck in Iran, November 14, 1963 - August 1, 1965. Entries are headed with date and location and cover trapline (including type of bait), habitat, vegetation, maximum temperature, minimum temperature (sometimes weather), relative humidity, trapping results, and miscellaneous notes. Notes cover additional descriptions of vegetation, collecting methods, habitat, and evidence of mammals (i.e. droppings). There are detailed entries entitled itinerary, journal, and field notes. Itinerary and journal entries cover travel details (route, destinations, campsites), terrain, vegetation, collecting methods (type, quantity, location), observed wildlife, interactions with local inhabitants and officials, and specimens collected. Field notes include same type of information at the beginning of the field book and include related black-and-white photographs of terrain and wildlife.
