Abstract

Original logbook of the Albatross, hydro numbers 4017-4032, dredge numbers 3772-3786, 5 to 27 June 1900. Data recorded include survey and dredge number (no.), date, machine, turns, correction, depth, shot or lead, bottom, bottom temperature, number of thermometer, correction, corrected temperature, air temperature, surface temperature, drift, trawl or dredge, sounding wire readings, dredge rope readings, serial temperatures, and general remarks. Remarks include lists of names and quantities of marine life caught. Coordinates are included. Localities include Kirikuwasan Light [Kinkasan], Cape Nalatcheff, Petropaulski, Bering Sea, and others.
