Abstract

The field book documents the mammal collecting of G. L. Ranck in Iran, August 22, 1962 - March 8, 1963. Entries cover locality (combination of country, region, town, distance from, sometimes latitude and longitude or geological landmark), date, trapline, vegetation (including types and appearance), habitat, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, soil temperature (with time of day), relative humidity with time of day, and trapping results. Sometimes includes extended notes describing additional details relating to collecting event or the specimen. Locations are across Iran.
