Abstract

This field book consists of the field notes of Remington Kellogg from 1932. The field notes include Kellogg's entries for vertebrae, fish, and other specimens found in California, as well as miscellaneous notes, expense lists, and citations. Entries include specimen recovered, locality information (often including sections), date, layer information (maroon clay, sandstone, etc.). Numbers, possibly collector numbers, are included with entries. Several entries include citations, and possibly refer to notes that Kellogg took on fossils found in particular areas of California and Oregon. Localities include Hesperia Sheet, Soledad Canyon, Mint Canyon, Saugus, and Fernando.
