Abstract

This item consists of the field data sheets for shark specimens in the collections of the University of California at Los Angeles. The data sheets include handwritten entries for the following fields: state or country, field no., county, locality, latitude and longitude, bottom, temp., shore, dist. offshore, depth of water, collectors, method of capture, and additional notes. Collections were made in Mexico, California, Peru, and possibly other locations. Collectors include: Fitch, Newman, McFarland, Smith, James Squires, Limbaugh, and many others. Data entry sheets are arranged by collection date.
