Journal entries are dated and headed with location / route (combination of state, town, county, highway, distance from); pages are numbered (1 - 58). The first entry provides a overview of work to be completed and colleagues with whom worked. Entries cover travel details (route, times of day, accommodations), flora and fauna observed (birds and mammals), terrain (including mines), specimens collected (lists with type and quantity), collecting methods (quantity, type), and sketches of traps and terrain. Includes a typed list of supplies listed by type or purpose. Subsequent notes are organized by type of bird (common name). These include a combination of information about location, date, behavior, calls, quantity observed, abundance,and if collected.
