The field book is the third of three envelopes and documents C. O. Handley's field work in the Arctic for July 5 - August 3, 1946. Entries are dated and headed with location / route and describe travel from Boston, Massachusetts. Entries are dated and sometimes headed with location (sometimes latitude or longitude) or route.
