Abstract

The field book is the third of three envelopes and documents C. O. Handley's field work in the Arctic for July 5 - August 3, 1946. Entries are dated and headed with location / route and describe travel from Boston, Massachusetts. Entries are dated and sometimes headed with location (sometimes latitude or longitude) or route. These are followed by headings of birds and mammals observed (common name), quantity, habitat, time of day, age, behavior, bird counts, conditions at sea, weather, and sketches of fauna. Locations include Dundas Harbour, Canada.
