Abstract

This folder contains two lantern slides (black-and-white photographic glass positives) from the Navy Survey Expedition to the Phoenix and Samoan Islands, 1939. The images were probably taken by Leonard P. Schultz during his field work as a naturalist on the expedition to Phoenix Islands [Kiribati] and Samoa. The slides depict trees, and a landscape with a rifle. No identifying information is included.
