Abstract

This folder contains photographs and negatives taken by or belonging to L. P. Schultz, from the Navy Surveying Expedition to the Phoenix [Kiribati] and Samoan Islands, 1939. There are 4 envelopes containing approximately 50 black-and-white photographs. The photographs depict: fish specimens, specimens in the field, landscapes, coral reefs, people, vessels, islands, and buildings. Includes portraits of L. P. Schultz near Bishop and on the U.S.S. Bushnell. Photographs are undated and most lack identifying information.
