Abstract

This diary was kept by Leonard P. Schultz while conducting work for the Bikini Scientific Resurvey, aboard the USS Chilton, in 1946. Entries include brief descriptions of daily activities (including poisoning and collecting fish, sharks, manta ray, observations, letters sent and received, and expenses). A photographic record is included at the back of the book with roll numbers and descriptions. Localities include: Eman Island, Enyu Island, Kwajalein Atoll, Prince Augen, Mann Island, and Johnston Island. "Navy Department Regulations Governing Technicians" booklet is also included in this folder.
