Abstract

This folder contains a map with the label "Biological stations, Antarctic expedition 1962-63, U.S.S. Staten Island and other, collector Dr. W.L. Schmitt." The map is of the northern half of the Palmer Peninsula [Antarctic Peninsula]. Station numbers 2 through 76 are plotted and labeled on the map; they are along the coast of the peninsula and islands off of the peninsula, including Adelaide, Anvers, and King George Islands. Also in the folder is a handwritten sheet with locality information, including geographic coordinates, for stations 5-63, 25-63, 29-63, 33-63, and 72-63. The date 4 February 1963 is recorded with station 25-63; the date 5 February 1963 is recorded with station 29-63.
