Abstract

[Specimen?] labels of Joseph Rock for birds collected in Likiang [current: Lijiang?] Snow Range (in Yunnan), Tseh Chung (Mekong Valley), and possibly other Chinese localities. Most labels are dated 1923, although labels from the previous or follow year may be found. Labels are divided into 9 envelopes, most containing approximately 100 [USNM catalog ?] numbers. Information on each label may include collector number (two numbers: one possibly collector number, the other, possibly catalog number), sex, date, locality, elevation, physical description (including colors), and additional notes. Some labels are written in Chinese. Envelopes include 296800-296899; 296900-296999; 297000-297099; 297100-297199; 297200-297299; 297300-297399; 297400-297499; 297500-297599; 297600-297634.
