Abstract

This item includes the field notes and data collection sheets of Charles A. Ely, documenting his work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey during 1963 and 1964. Field notes indicate that Ely was observing birds and creating descriptive accounts of each species. A separate group of documents entitled "Report of Photographic Proceedings" describe Ely's work with creating motion photographs of tropical birds. Film and equipment type is noted in photographic proceedings notes. No location noted on photographic report and notes. Location only noted as "Pacific Ocean" on data collection sheets. Field notes created on Eastern Island.
