Abstract

This item refers to a folder of notes and data compiled by Leonard P. Schultz during Operation Crossroads, on Bikini Atoll (Marshall Islands) in 1946 and 1947. Survey data, including abundance of fish, is included. Data includes atoll names, habitat type, number of stations, total fish recovered, area searched, and average index of relative abundance before and after atomic bomb test on "Able Day". Localities include: Bikini, Rongelap, Eniwetok [Enewetak], Kwajalein, and possibly others. Also included is a typed report "Preliminary Report on the Reef Fishes of the Crossroads Project" by Schultz and Capt. Earl S. Herald.
