Abstract

This folder contains field notes documenting a fish collection made by A. Lowrie in Haifa Bay [Mifraẕ H̲efa] in the Mediterranean Sea in 1970. Notes are recorded on a single field data record sheet of the Smithsonian Oceanographic Sorting Center. The date, written as 12.2.70, is ambiguous. Several National Museum of Natural History catalog records of A. Lourie from Haifa Bay in Israel have 2 December 1970 as the collection date. The field data record sheet has the heading "Demersal fishes from Israel." No fish are listed on the data sheet. Collections were made by otter trawl at a capture depth of 17-30 fathoms.
