Abstract

This folder contains field notes by Ernest A. Lachner documenting his observations of fish nests during the spring of 1977. The main locality is Craig Creek at Kings Farm; other localities are on Craig Creek and Potts Creek. The locations of Craig and Potts Creek are not stated; National Museum of Natural History catalog records of E.A. Lachner from Craig Creek indicate that this locality is in Virginia. Notes provide detailed descriptions of nests encountered and nesting behavior of fish observed. They were recorded on 20 and 21 May 1977.
