Abstract

The notes document the field work of Charles O. Handley, Jr., in Panama, 1957. Begins with a lists of notes and reminders as well as contact information, supplies to take, expenses, descriptions and sketches of fauna, list of phonetically spelled local names for wildlife with English common name, notes on collecting methods per numbered bat nets, lists of specimens per net with scientific name and specimen number. Some entries include dates describing terrain and vegetation, weather and totals for specimens collected. There is a section headed as bird notes. These include a list of types with scientific name or common name followed by description of appearance. Includes a note indicating Eira Barbara. Locations include RdP., Cerro Azul, and Mandinga in San Blas.
