Abstract

This notebook contains records of fish collections made by Robert H. Gibbs, Jr. between 1949 and 1954. Localities are in New York, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Coll. numbers span from 2 to 521; on some sheets, corresponding numbers of other collectors, beginning with RDS, CFC, and PPC, are also provided. In addition to Gibbs, collectors include Suttkus, Cole, Caswell, and others. Localities for some collector numbers are mapped on related item, Gibbs, Robert H., Jr., with Caswell, Suttkus, and Cole, maps of southeastern United States, 1949-1954. At the beginning of the notebook are pages that appear to documenting mileage and expenses.
