Abstract

This item consists of photocopied data sheets and field notes of Richard S. Crossin that document work with the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey during 1966. Numerous bird observation checklists used to collect data for the Pacific Ocean Biological Survey are present, attributed in several different handwriting styles to "Crossin et al." Geographic coordinates are noted on observation checklists and some field notes. Some number ranges are listed under the heading "flocks" (0106-1843, not in sequential order). Locations represented include Hawaii and Western Samoa islands. Field notes include Crossin's "species accounts" with descriptions of bird species by physical appearance and observed behavior.
