Abstract

This folder contains notes on fish collections made by F. M. Chamberlain in Arizona in 1904. The dates of his Arizona itinerary are 15 January to 28 April 1904; notes on field activities and observations date from February to April 1904. The notes describe collection activities as well as natural history and local knowledge of species encountered. The final section outlines general causes of fish extinction in the region. These notes appear to have been prepared for submission to the Bureau of Fisheries and may not have been recorded in the field. With the notes are a list of tin tag numbers (08500-08554), a typed list of fish collected, and a hand-drawn map showing localities of fishing stations.
