Abstract

This item consists of species accounts and a small banding catalog by Joe T. Marshall, detailing his field work with birds, specifically Pipilo (Towhees), from 1949-1958. Localities include but may not be limited to areas within Arizona. Dated entries are generally organized by species, and include such information as specific locality, altitude, weather conditions, terrain or forest description, numbers of birds, sketches, sketched maps, and general notes on observing and collecting. The banding catalog preceding contains entries by locality that may include any or all of the following information: species and color, est. age and sex, wing, tail, remarks, station, date, and band number.
