Abstract

This item consists of species accounts by Joe T. Marshall, detailing his field work with birds during 1938, and from 1949-1963. Localities include but may not be limited to Arizona, Texas, California, New Mexico, and Mexico. Dated entries are generally organized by species, and include such information as specific locality, altitude, weather conditions, terrain or forest description, species lists, numbers of species, sketches, sketched maps, and general notes on observing and collecting. These accounts detail screech owls (Otus), specifically Otus asio, Otus flammeolus, Otus guatemalea, and Otus trichopsis.
