Abstract

This item is a field journal by Joe T. Marshall, detailing his field work with birds (and plants) from 1993-1996. Dated journal entries detail accounts of observing birds and plants in such areas as Vermont, Virginia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Costa Rica. Information included are times, altitudes, weather conditions, terrain and forest descriptions, bird calls, and bird and plant lists. There is also a small notebook included of field notes from Monteverde Reserve in Costa Rica during 1994. Also present are a number of bird sketches, as well as sketched and printed maps with field notes, brochures, and other relevant materials.
