Abstract

This item consists of a field journal and three endangered species surveys by Joe T. Marshall, detailing his field work with birds from 1984-1985. Dated journal entries detail accounts of observing and collecting birds in areas such as Mexico and Texas. Information included are times, altitudes, weather conditions, terrain and forest descriptions, bird lists with species and numbers, bird sketches, and sketched maps of specific localities. The endangered species surveys deal with Catharus minimus bicknelli, Vireo atricapillus, and Aimophila botterii. These entries are organized by species and date, and describe information and observations of birds in Mexico and Vermont.
