Abstract

This folder contains field notes, data tables, correspondence, and other documents related to cruise 14 of the Anton Bruun for the Southeast Pacific Biological Oceanographic Project (SEPBOP). The cruise left from Valparaiso, Chile on 14 February 1966, ending at Callao, Peru, on 16 March 1966. Stations were on the Pacific Ocean and numbered from 550A to 572A. Primary research activities at stations included longline fishing, a hydrographic cast, phytoplankton and zooplankton net hauls, and primary productivity studies. The folder includes Smithsonian Oceanorgraphic Sorting Center data sheets for each collector number (RHG 66-1 through RHG 66-61 and corresponding collector numbers BBC 1150 to BBC 1210). Collectors include R.H. Gibbs, B.B. Collette, and R.F. Cressey. Also included are biological log sheets for several stations, as well as copies of data tables, bathythermograph slides, and other documents on which data were recorded or compiled. The folder also includes a copy of a cruise report, correspondence with cruise participants, and other documents related to the cruise.
