This large book includes R. E. Silberglied's field notes and data on UV experiments on butterflies, Arizona, 1972. Includes correspondence (copy of letter sent to and letter received) from the Eastman Kodak Company regarding film for a device that Silberglied designed for 16mm ultraviolet cinemetography. Several tables of data include film exposures and camera settings for various tests and notes on UV and color films. Several plastic sleeves with 35 mm black-and-white film is included. Negatives depict butterflies and flowers. Also includes notes and data for experiments conducted. A botanical specimen in glassine envelope is pasted to page 101. Brief notes on organization of thesis on role of UV in insect life are included towards the back of the book. Two fold-out maps are pasted into the back of the book. The maps are annotated to show route taken and direction traveled. Localities include: Prescott, Aztec, Dateland, Dome Valley, Pine, Chiricahua National Monument, Lawrence, and possibly others.
