Abstract

This is a field journal by Joe T. Marshall, detailing his field work with birds on the island of Ponape [Pohnpei], Micronesia from June 30, 1955 - July 16, 1956. Dated entries detail accounts of observing and collecting birds throughout Arizona. Information included are times, altitudes, weather conditions, terrain and forest descriptions, bird lists with species and numbers, and sketched maps of specific localities. There are also charts and lists of specimen trapped or collected, accompanied by locations, physical measurements, and other information. Specimens discussed include birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and gastropods. The pages are numbered 69-218.
