Abstract

This volume is a catalog of U.S. Bureau of Fisheries tag numbers used between 1894 and 1911 by multiple collectors at multiple localities. Tag numbers are in the ranges 1 to 5900 and A 56002 to A 56194. The tag record begins on page 49. The first part of the volume, up to page 48, consists of species accounts of fish collected in Montana and Wyoming in 1891, author unknown. The top of each page is headed by a species name, under which are narrative entries for each collection made of that species. Entries include date, locality, and number of specimens collected, and may also include measurements, color notes, and other information.
