Abstract

This folder includes lists of fish, marine invertebrates, and birds sent from Woods Hole to the Smithsonian Institution by V. N. Edwards in 1888. Most lists include the following fields: jar or bottle number, date when taken, how taken, and contents [of bottle or jar]. Bottle/jar numbers span from 1545 to 1580, 1583 to 1606, 1607 to 1630, and 1636 to 1721.
