Abstract

This box of field notes details the field work of Philip S. Humphrey with birds in Belem, Brazil from June - August, 1965 on a series of 5"x7" cards. Specimens represent banded, bled birds for the Belem Virus Project, and specimens not in the USNM. Dated entries may include any or all of the following information: number, name, locality, preparation, time, net or shot, net number, height, shelf, from, habitat, iris, gape, feet, mouth lining, skull, cl. prot., bill, molt (wing, tail, body), gonads, skull ossification, weight, blood sample taken, plasma number, and serology. Also included are some mammal and reptile specimens. Catalog numbers range from 196301-197000 and 198003-199000, with some additional numbers.
