Abstract

This item is a four-part manuscript that appears to be a draft of part of a report summarizing field investigations in Mississippi by S. F. Hildebrand. The four sections are titled XIV - Principal Waters Inspected [another heading, The Pascagoula River and Tributaries, appears on the same page], XV - The Upper Tombigbee River System, XVI - The Upper Pearl River and Some Tributaries, and XVII - The Mississippi River and Adjacent Streams and Lakes. The manuscript may contain notes not in [Hildebrand's field] books, according to the envelope enclosing the manuscript. A note with the manuscript states that information in the manuscript may all be duplicated in Hildebrand's notes.
