Abstract

This item refers to two volumes. The first book includes notes by O. F. Cook on palms, from a trip to Florida in the fall of 1934. The first page is typed and includes lists of localities visited by Cook to study palms. Subsequent pages include handwritten notes on specimens observed and / or collected. Some entries include locality information or collector numbers. Localities in Florida include: Boynton, Cocoa, Coconut Grove, Hernando, Indian River, Leesburg, Marianna, Ocala, Palm Beach, Pensacola, and others. Also included are a couple of pages of memos from Texas, dated 1921-1933. Localities in Texas include: Greenville, Corpus Christi. The second book includes citation and research on palms and possibly other plants. The contents of the second book are probably not field notes.
