Abstract

The diary documents Edward Preble's trip to Wyoming in May 1 - June 5, 1911 documenting elk and other wildlife populations in Wyoming. This is a continuation of the Diary from 1911 of Wyoming and Idaho. Entries are dated, and usually includes location. The diary contains observations on area vegetation, wildlife populations, and physical surroundings. Notes detail elk herd movements, changes in population, and interviews with residents about elk. Wildlife populations notes include elk, mule deer, moose, antelope, and sheep. Includes lists of birds sighted. Notebook is half blank. Locations include ranch names and towns; some locations listed include Cache Creek, South Park, Bluerock River
