Abstract

This volume is titled "Record of collections made by Milton J. Lobell of the United States Fisheries Mission to Peru during the period January to September 1941." Records include date, catalog number (U-02006 to U-02993), description of location, and collection method. Additional notes are sometimes recorded, including description of appearance, species name, and measurements. Localities are primarily off the coast of Peru and also include some at-sea locations in the Pacific Ocean. Loose materials in the volume include one loose sheet with illustrations of shark morphology, an envelope with a label, a list of USNM numbers (119992-120024) for specimens from the 1941 mission, and a list of localities from the 1941 mission.
