Abstract

Field notes and research notes on various genera of coral, circa 1875-1878, created by Richard Rathburn during a collecting trip to Brazil. Notes include general descriptions of corals in the locations Rathbun visited as well as specific descriptions on specimens collected, specimen lists, and sketches. Many of the Notes also include information about abundance and rarity. Specimens were collected in Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, and possibly other localities.
