Abstract

Photograph album containing black-and-white images taken by Richard Rathbun in Brazil from 1875 to 1878. Photographs depict plants, landscapes, houses, people, coral reefs, and individual coral specimens (some of which may have been taken at a field station). A few photos by S. J. Thompson of landscape scenes in New Westminster (B.C.), Canada are also included. Coral reefs in Bay of Bahia and Pernambuco are depicted.
