Abstract

This notebook details the field work of Lester F. Ward for the United States Geological Survey from 1887-1890. Localities include but may not be limited to areas within Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Dated journal entries include accounts of procedural and paperwork, travel details, and daily activity, as well as terrain and rock descriptions, accounts of collecting sites and the plant and animal fossils collected, and information on specific localities.
