Abstract

This notebook was created by Frank Knowlton while working for the United States Geological Survey in 1907. Localities described in this book include but may not be limited to areas within North Dakota and Montana. Most of this notebook consists of typed descriptions of rock layers and fossils with measurements from various localities by other scientists from previous years. There are also some geological sketches depicting rock layers. In addition there are some handwritten field notes by Knowlton accompanied by measurements.
