Abstract

The diary documents a trip Edward Preble took with his brother, Alfred Emerson Preble, sailing through out Hudson Bay region. Entries are dated, and describes travel progression, daily events, wildlife, weather, vegetation, terrain, birds observed (listing either scientific or common name), specimens collected, notes on individuals, and details about collecting methods. Sometimes locations are indicated at the top of the page. At the back of the notebook, there is a table, assumed for specimens, but columns are not labeled. Numbering system repeats.
