Abstract

This is volume 5 of a catalog of specimens collected by John Xantus in lower California. This volume dates from February - March, 1860. Specimens present are varied, and include birds, eggs, nests, fish, mollusks, reptiles, mammals, shells, and crustaceans. Entries for each specimen also vary, and may include such information as species or common name, sex, physical measurements, and coloring. Field numbers for this volume range from 3941-4574.
